I am a San Diego-based ceramic artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from San Diego State University. My work is deeply influenced by my diverse cultural background, including Portuguese, São Toméan, Congolese, and Cape Verdean roots. Each piece reflects elements of this rich background, combining traditional and contemporary artistry.
Ceramics became a pivotal part of my life in 2016, following a car accident that shifted my focus from an athletic lifestyle to a new creative outlet. The process of shaping and molding clay offers me a unique form of expression and freedom. Inspired by the ocean, nature, and vibrant colors, my work reflects the beauty of coastal environments.
In addition, I often enjoy experimenting into different media such as glass, recycled materials, and paint, to name a few :)
